A stroll into Rochester today, to see the remarkable giant inflatable model of the Moon that has been strung up inside the Cathedral...

Baby polyphores (Birch?)

All of Bush Farm, including Bush Valley and all of the SSSI woodlands right the way over the hill to Pilgrims Road in Halling, have now been acquired by Vineyard Farms Ltd - the same company that has been busy transforming Luddesdown valley into a sterile desert, allegedly for vinicultural purposes.

So enjoy these views while you can... 

Broxbourne from Longhoes...

The house in the middle distance is called Broxbourne. It can't be seen from Sundridge Hill as it is screened off by trees. I don't know much more about it but it looks a nice place. Folk often wonder what it is called and now you know!  

Cuxton Fireworks...

The annual Cuxton Village firework display (organised by the Wheel of Cuxton) never disappoints. Most local displays were cancelled due to the wind and rain, but our sheltered valley and determined local volunteers allowed Cuxton's show to go ahead on November 2nd. as planned.

The photo montages below don't really do justice to the village's spectacular display.  We are very fortunate to have a group that puts in the huge organisational effort to make it happen...
