I am trying to get up to Bush Valley as much as possible this year, to enjoy the peace and beauty of the place before it is destroyed by overseas billionaire Mark Dixon and his plaything, Vineyard Farms Ltd.
This is clearly a done deal already.
Vineyards Farms/MDCV Ltd. wouldn't have spent a fortune engaging the services of Lord Foster and co. without already having the nod from Medway Council. This seems completely at odds with national planning guidelines that pretty much forbids development on Green Belt land, but I guess a billionaire tax exile's money talks and Medway Council (unlike Gravesham) are only too happy to listen to its siren song. So enjoy while you can...

It seems as if the wildflowers know that this is the last year they will be around, and so are putting in one final burst before the hill gets hollowed out (where will all the chalk spoil go?) and the concrete starts to pour...
Peaceful Lower Bush - but not for much longer... |
